| Sweden roxxx FOOBAR THE BAND 1) I got your new cd – the review is already online. What a cool release...
Yeah! Thanx! We´re really excited about it.
2) How were the responses until now?
So far so good. In sweden we´ve been called “the new rock heroes”.
On the album there´s a song for every taste which hopefully will attract a lot of listeners and fans.
3) Who are the guys in the band?
Jonny Zasella, vocals. Robert Kulka, guitar. Anders Karlsson, guitar. Peter Korsgard, drums and myself, Janneck Larsson who plays the bass.
Five guys from the very core of hardrock in Gothenburg Sweden.
4) … are you different characters? Differnet people?
Defenetly! I think there is more difference then in other bands. Wich is good. No one like the other. Since a band is like a business every part of it needs it´s pro.
5) What is HELLRIDE about? Tell me 2-3 words to each song please.
It´s about thinks happening to us or the world. Like in most cases.
- Sin City, Filth, rock and sleazy girls.
- Domino, Missery loves company.
- Big heart, A song for THAT special someone.
- In your eyes, We will save your soul.
- Playdoh, Big companies destroying little you.
- Go search, Try find someone better.
- Bootycall, Having someone for you.
- El faco, The devil on you shoulder.
- Torro Zorro, Time will heal all wounds.
- Hellride Supernova, Hellride down the drain
- Rebellsong, Fight against all odds. We will rule rock&roll
- 242, Straight to the bone.
6) Do we listen to a whole thing or is every song a new story?
Everything defenetly has its own story. Since the songs is very different to one another it´s impossible to make a story about it.
But to give some theame..
The album starts out with “Mr Lee” who is Dee Lee from the Amarican west coast. He made a phonecall to my voicemail and we used it on the record.
Mr Foobar owes money to this mr Lee character and he whants them bat.
7) This one is your debut… What did you expect – and did your wishes come true?
Expectations are´nt so high becase anything can happen in this business. But so far.. Way beoynd! The response is great!
8) … already working on new material?
Yeah! But only in our individual studios. The finnishing songmaking process in the rehersalroom will not take place for another couple of months. We´re too busy with this album. Which is great!
9) Where do you get the ideas from... I´m talking about the lyrical things!
It usualy comes out of the blue. Our singer is incredible when it comes to writing down things as we play new tunes.
10) Where did you produce it?
The drums and vocals where recorded in a studio in Gothenburg and some guitars and bass at my old flat and some in Roberts. The mixing took place in another studio here in Gothenburg. I think the whole process took about 2 months.
11) You are playing a kind of „so called“ Stoner Rock... Groovy sounds… heavy emotions…
Yeah you could say that. Me and Robert is the most stoner of us all and I guess that´s the source. Anders history is mostly Pantera metal and Peters is even more technical metal. Jonny on the other hand is pure Rock&Roll. Every step of the musicmaking comes down to the moment. Very much is produced as we meet up for rehersal. But the bottom line is to make songs that sounds great!
12) Isn´t it difficult for a (let me call it) new young band to get the listeners attention?! I mean we get so many releases.
Of course it is! And that’s the whole problem of the musicindustry. But the bands do it for real will shine through the haze of crappy ones.
13) Did you already tour or will our stages “be yours” soon? ;)
No tour yet. But you said it, the stage is ours! Right now we´re focusing on producing videos and our first is done. This weekend is scheduled for the second one.
14) You guys are from Sweden. How do you see the musical development in metal music all over the years?
In sweden the talent is everywhere for sure. And the “home studio” scene is increasing. This provides both a lot of good independent bands who can produce their own material, without any recordlabel telling them what to do. And a lot of bands can experiment without paying expensive studiotime. You could also see more metal bands becoming more mainstream.

16) What´s your next step?
Right now it´s all musicvideos, promotion such as be out there on the stages!
17) Here you can give a last statement…
We´re looking forward coming down this globe, playing venues in germany! Giving everybody a hell of a ride!
